Navigating Difficult Conversations: Conflict and Communication in the Workplace

Length and Price: 2 hours ($160 per participant)

Many people want to confront biased and discriminatory behavior but fear the conversations will fail, backfire or make things worse. This workshop provides practical tools and practice that will help participants hold difficult conversations and manage conflict, specifically in diverse environments. The workshop frames conflict as an opportunity to learn and grow rather than as source of disconnection and isolation. Participants will learn how communication affects conflict, explore theories of intent and impact, and gain a solid understanding of perception and cultural differences. Through discussion and small group activities, participants will take away specific skills and strategies for workplace environments and situations.
